The world’s largest open submission exhibition will return in 2024. Join us for our annual celebration of art in all forms.
Held every year without interruption since 1769, the Summer Exhibition showcases a diverse array of contemporary works, including prints, paintings, films, photography, sculpture, and architectural works.
Anyone can submit their work, regardless of background or artistic experience. The mix of art by household names, Royal Academicians and emerging talent is what makes the Summer Exhibition the UK’s best-loved art show.
Many works will be available to buy and sales will directly support the exhibiting artists and the RA’s charitable work, including training the next generation of artists at the Royal Academy Schools.
As part of the celebration of creativity, we will also be hosting a range of special events including talks, workshops and tours.
Our House Member preview morning takes place Saturday 15 June 10am – 12pm.
Friends previews take place Saturday 15 June 12pm – 9pm, Sunday 16 June 10am – 9pm and Monday 17 June 10am – 6pm.
