We are proud to support the Royal Academy of Arts as lead sponsor of the Summer Exhibition, a partnership which is now in its 17th year.

The thought-provoking nature of the Summer Exhibition is what makes it such an important and enduring cultural event. Every year the Summer Exhibition seeks to draw visitors into a cultural conversation with a central theme and, this year, the theme is Only Connect.

Connection can be interpreted in many ways. My own experience has taught me that if we are to make sense of what is going on around us, we need to better understand the connections and interactions that exist in the systems that we are observing. Most systems tend to involve multiple interacting elements and feedback loops. These factors often turn out to have a critical influence over eventual outcomes.

We hope that as many people as possible will have the opportunity to experience the Summer Exhibition this year and explore what this concept means to them.
