Matisse in the Studio
A tour of ‘Matisse in the Studio’ designed for wheelchair users and mobility impaired visitors.
This sumptuous exhibition offers a rare glimpse into Henri Matisse’s personal collection, as well as the paintings, sculptures and drawings it inspired. Seen together, they reveal how Matisse’s masterful vision of richness, balance and vital, fluid energy first stemmed from the collage of patterns and rhythms which he found in the world of objects.
Join us for this early morning tour as we explore his eclectic collection, drawn from the far corners of the world, to we reveal how these objects took on new life in his transcendent art. This event includes refreshments, and volunteer support is provided.
