Eco-Visionaries
Make art, network and unwind at this informal Friday-evening teacher studio, suitable for all teaching levels.
In this workshop, teachers will explore ideas around sustainability and the environmental impact of our lifestyles. The evening is inspired by Eco-Visionaries, an exhibition of art and architecture that responds to our rapidly changing world. With lots of opportunities for hands-on making, this session will explore questions such as:
● How do we make work about the environment?
● How do we communicate new or difficult ideas to students?
● How do we engage students with the subject matter?
● What materials do we use to convey our ideas?
Teacher studios are after-school sessions designed to introduce you to new ways of working and thinking about art, whilst also giving you space to learn new techniques and experiment with different mediums in a relaxed, sociable environment.
Grace Adam Grace Adam works across drawing, painting, sculpture and installation. She is particularly interested in how we build, negotiate and use our environments. Adam is a practicing artist and teaches at Chelsea College of Arts. She regularly films exhibition reviews for The Art Channel.
The session is suitable for all abilities, including professional artists, new learners and those who wish to refresh their practice.
