Learn from the experts with a free life-drawing class in the RA Schools, led by a special guest tutor.

As part of our 250th anniversary celebrations in 2018, we are offering 250 people of all abilities the chance to follow in the footsteps of generations of great artists at free life-drawing classes in the historic RA Schools Life Room.

Each life-drawing class will be for a particular group that shares a special relationship either with the RA or with the human body, from alumni of our outreach programmes to nurses and dancers. At this very special session with a guest tutor, we’ll be opening the classes up to 25 members of the public, chosen by ballot. For your chance to win a place, simply enter your details in the form below.

These classes will run alongside our innovative From Life exhibition, which takes an inquisitive look at the life-drawing tradition and its ongoing relationship with artists today. Beginning with historic works drawn from the RA Collection, From Life will trace a line from the origins of the RA in the 18th century to the present day. The exhibition concludes with an exploration of how emerging technologies are opening up exciting possibilities for artists, allowing them to experiment with new techniques and push back physical limitations.
