Introduce yourself in this self-portraiture workshop inspired by Helene Schjerfbeck.
What do you want to show the world about yourself? Does your personality have different sides? Explore how self-portraiture can paint a picture of who you are in this workshop inspired by Finnish artist Helene Schjerfbeck.
Throughout her career she represented herself in many different ways, from the traditional to the abstract. Create your own painted portraits in the Clore Learning Centre, or make a collage in our quiet zone. Show different moods, memories and the things that make you ‘you’ – or why not try out being someone completely different?
Quiet zone
If you don’t like crowds or loud noises, look out for the quiet zone available during select family studios. Try a relaxing art making activity or take some time out from the workshop in a peaceful environment. We'll have soft furnishings to help you feel comfortable and ear defenders for you to borrow. Please help us keep things quiet by chatting at a lower volume and switching all devices to silent.
Drop-in between 11am-3pm. Meet in the British Academy Room. Follow signage from the Wohl Entrance Hall or ask our front of house team to direct you
