A tour of ‘The Great Spectacle’ in British Sign Language (BSL).

The Great Spectacle tells the story of 250 years of the Summer Exhibition, the world’s largest open-submission exhibition and longest running annual display of contemporary art. Every summer since 1769, the Academy’s galleries have been crowded with people eager to experience the huge range of works produced by some of Britain’s leading artists.

Join Alison Rogers as she guides us through rooms detailing seminal moments in the history of the Summer Exhibition. This far-ranging exhibition includes works by artists from Joshua Reynolds to Wolfgang Tillmans.
