Artie Zaitz

Emerging jazz guitarist Artie Zaitz takes over the Academicians’ Room for the final Art of Sound live music event of 2019.

For our final Art of Sound live session of 2019, the Academicians’ Room is pleased to present an evening of live music with Artie Zaitz.

Jazz guitarist Artie Zaitz will perform live in the RA’s private members’s club for one night only. Small plates and specialty drinks will be available to purchase from the private bar throughout the evening.

Artie Zaitz is swiftly emerging as the UK’s top young guitarist. Exposed to the sounds of jazz from an early age, he studied classical guitar with David Parsons, and later went on to study jazz piano with Andrea Vicari aswell as jazz guitarist David Okumu.

Artie developed a particular interest in recordings form the blue note label which had a profound influence on the current material he performs with his quartet and trio. He is influenced by artists such as Grachan Moncur II, Grant Green, Kenny Burell, Wayne Shorter along with Miles Davis and John Coltrane.

Tickets are free and available for Friends of the RA, RA250 Friends and RA250 Supporters and members of the Academicians’ Room. Please book online or call 020 7300 8090.
