Availability, prices and information
The products on the Website are offered subject to availability.
All prices are in £ sterling, including tax where applicable, and must be paid in full including the delivery charge which is an additional charge. Customers and not RAE are responsible for customs duty and taxes prevailing in their own country.
RAE takes every care to ensure its product descriptions, price, colour and availability are accurate. However, there may be some changes which are beyond RAE’s control and variations are to be expected in handmade products. Sizes are given as a guide only.
RAE will treat each order for goods, which is confirmed when you click on the “Submit order” button on the Check Your Order screen, as an offer by you to purchase the goods and services subject to these Terms. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your order and RAE shall supply you, subject to availability, with the quantity and specification of goods set out in your order. RAE shall confirm each order by e-mail and such confirmation shall be RAE’s acceptance of the contract. Products will be delivered to the address you indicate on the Check Your Order screen. The risk of damage to or loss of the products passes to you at the time of delivery.
You can pay for your order online using American Express, MasterCard, Visa and their debit card alternatives. RAE also accepts Maestro and Switch, but it is unable to accept non-UK Electron. RAE does not retain your card details after processing your payment.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, or it has been damaged in transit, please return it in its original packaging and with all relevant documentation within 14 days. On receipt of the returned item(s), RAE will issue either a refund or replacement(s) subject to availability. Please specify which you would prefer. Refunds will be issued within 30 days of the date on which RAE receives your returned item(s). A refund will be issued for postage paid only if the item is found to be defective or if it was incorrectly supplied from the original order. RAE reserves the right to charge the direct costs for the return of your item if you do not cover this expense yourself. RAE may offset the postage cost which it has incurred against your refund. RAE recommends that you use a recorded delivery service as the parcel remains your responsibility until it reaches RAE. By law, customers in the EU also have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within seven working days of the day after the date the item is delivered (the statutory cooling off period). This applies to all our items with the following exceptions: a) items that have been personalised, b) earrings suitable for pierced ears.

Booking Friends events and excursions
Friends events are only open to Patrons and Friends of the Royal Academy of Arts . These exclusive events are generally very popular and sell out quickly. In the first instance, we recommend you post your booking form in as soon as you receive your copy of RA Magazine as many events will sell out by the time online and phone bookings open. You can also download a booking form and send or fax to us.
Roughly 3 weeks after the events appear in the magazine any tickets which have not been sold by the ballot are put on our website for online or phone bookings.
Each Patron or Friend may purchase a total of two tickets per Friends event – one for themselves and one for a guest.
Friends events booking forms are balloted on a weekly basis: forms are collected over a one week period and balloted for each event. Please list your choices in preference order. When an event is running on more than one day and/or time and you forget to choose a time, we will select one for you.
Some of the venues we visit occasionally offer general public tours. By purchasing a ticket through the RA, you are supporting the Friends’ events programme and other Learning initiatives and we are grateful for your patronage.
