Young Patrons are invited to visit Caroline’s studio in Islington and hear more about her fascinating work.

Caroline Walker works primarily with painting. Her canvases examine domestic roles and how the subjects, relate to architecture, in an exploration of private space, dynamic interiors and the depiction of femininity.

Caroline’s interiors reflect a quiet tension that shifts between the psychological and the physical, and invite the viewer to reflect and imagine the lives of the women portrayed, giving us hints of the scenes depicted and never a complete picture: it is up to the viewer to analyse and fill in the gaps.
