This painting by Henry Fuseli RA depicts a dramatic moment from Icelandic mythology where the hero Thor goes out to battle the Midgard Serpent.
Join us to consider the artist and his motivations for choosing this relatively unusual subject, and explore how the painting aligns with the practice of teaching with and painting from the male nude at the Royal Academy.
