Discover the endless possibilities of ink drawing in this five-week online course.
Unlock the full potential of ink with artist Rohan Daniel Eason. During this five-week online course, you will discover the different aspects of ink-drawing, taking inspiration from traditional and contemporary styles and techniques. You will try your hand at quick sketches and intricate illustrations, explore different application methods with brushes and pens, and learn to mix ink with complementary mediums.
Ink is an ancient and dynamic medium favoured by artists around the world, from early Chinese calligraphers to American minimalists such as Agnes Martin. During the course you will explore the use of ink throughout art history to the present day.
Materials are not provided, but participants will receive a recommended materials list.
Rohan Daniel Eason is a British illustrator best known for his intricate ink drawings. Rohan’s works have appeared in literature, tarot cards, and advertisement. Rohan’s work is notable for its obsessive attention to detail and his rich use of narrative. His clients include Harry Potter, Harrods, Penguin and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
