Contemporary Circle Patrons: John Hoyland RA at Newport Street Gallery
Wednesday 21 October 2015 6.30 - 8.30pm
Newport Street Gallery, Newport Street, London, SE11 6AJ
£10. Payment on RSVP.
The Contemporary Circle Patrons are being offered an exclusive opportunity to visit Damien Hirst’s new gallery space in Vauxhall, to see an exhibition of early works by John Hoyland RA.
We will receive a tour of the building from Hugh Allen who worked with Hirst on the project, and from Michael Craig Martin RA, who taught Hirst and knew Hoyland well. The stunning, highly anticipated gallery, designed by Caruso St John architects, will be opening in October after three years in development. Founded to showcase Hirst’s personal collection, this inaugural exhibition highlights the closer relationship between the YBA and the Royal Academician.
