The Edge of Printing
Join Royal Academician Tess Jaray for an evening private view and introduction to 'The Edge of Printing’, the latest exhibition in the Art Sales range, which she has curated.
The Edge of Printing will explore the developments in contemporary printmaking practice. Participating artists will include Rebecca Salter RA, Peter Freeth RA, Anne Desmet RA, Virginia Verran, Cathie de Monchaux and Tom Lomax. Some of these artists will be in attendance.
Tess Jaray RA is one of Britain’s foremost painters and printmakers, made Royal Academician in 2010. Her work is inspired by Italian Renaissance architecture, and the way simple lines intersect and combine to create a transformative and evocative space. She uses geometry, pattern and repetition to explore spatial relationships and challenge the viewer’s perception.
Jaray also applies her interest in architectural space and pattern to her noted large-scale public commissions. These include a terrazzo pattern design for London Victoria station, and the forecourt for the new British Embassy in Moscow.
Each of the works displayed are for sale through Art Sales at the RA; this is an excellent opportunity to begin or add to your collection with new works from a Royal Academician.
Ticket price includes a welcome drink. Booking is essential for this event; if you wish to bring a guest please book one ticket for each person.
