Friends of the RA book first
John Nassari has exhibited three times in the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize, and is an Olympus Visionary. Friends are invited to his premiere workshop in portrait photography at the Royal Academy. This is the perfect opportunity for beginners and experienced photographers looking to improve their technique.
John Nassari’s diverse career, spanning over three decades, has cultivated his unique ability to capture moments and emotions in beautiful ways. An internationally acclaimed photographer, he has a specialist interest in portraiture, and has been displayed in prestigious settings such as the National Portrait Gallery, the Town House Gallery, Egypt, and the Pantheon Gallery, Cyprus.
In this workshop you will learn how to take beautiful portraits using natural light and professional techniques. John is an experienced tutor, and welcomes photographers of all abilities. You are required to bring your own camera, and can use a smartphone if this is your preferred equipment. The workshop will teach you about aperture and light manipulation, through a short theoretical session followed by practice with a professional model and other members of the group.
Ticket price includes a welcome drink. Booking is essential for this event; if you wish to bring a guest please book one ticket for each person.
