DJ Max Lutos will fill the Academicians’ Room with the sounds of jazz, disco and Brazilian for the next Art of Sound DJ session.
Max Lutos lives in a unique music world between curator, creative director of Open Ear Music and DJ.
Over the past three years Max has played and hosted nights for a number of key London venues including Brilliant Corners, London Jazz Festival and our own Academicians' Room. Inviting down leading music figures within the scene to share their personal collections in intimate spaces, he creates unique listening experiences away from the dance floor.
As a DJ , Max’s sets have been known to span jazz, disco and Brazilian alongside many of his own edits of soul rarities. During this Art of Sound evening takeover, he will be diving into his collection, which has strong roots in British Jazz - and has also inspired an upcoming documentary into the history of the scene.
This event is open to the Friends of the RA, RA250 Friends and RA250 Supporters and members of the Academicians’ Room. There are also a limited number of tickets available to the general public. Please book online or call 020 7300 8090.
Members of the Academicians’ Room are welcome to bring friends along to enjoy the DJs and, of course, our classic and signature cocktails. Please RSVP to academiciansroom@royalacademy.org.uk to book.
