Friends are invited to join a monthly film club at the Royal Academy of Arts where artists turned filmmakers screen and discuss their work. Here, Kotting presents his latest film 'By Our Selves', starring lauded British actor Toby Jones.
Andrew Kotting is one of the UK's most radical artistic voices. Described as possessing "the visionary curiosity and hybrid creativity exemplified by the late Derek Jarman", his formally exploratory and aesthetically innovative work has moved from the absurdist to portraits of British melancholy, and lately to feature films exploring British landscape, history and literature, all infused with a pranksterish wit.
Here, Kotting presents his latest film 'By Our Selves', a recreation of the journey of the nature poet John Clare from Epping to Northampton in 1841, starring lauded British actor Toby Jones.
Booking is essential for this event, if you wish to bring a guest please book one ticket for each person.
Tickets include a welcome drink and popcorn.

The East End Film Festival with the Royal Academy or Arts
The East End Film Festival is one of the largest multimedia arts festivals in London. Presenting some of the most inspiring and boundary pushing new films from all over the world to London audiences each summer, the festival is a home for cross platform work, and artists who embrace a movement between mediums.
The EEFF is now collaborating with the Royal Academy on a series of special film screenings exploring the work of multimedia artists embracing the possibilities of combining film with a variety of other art forms, with an increasing drive towards feature filmmaking.
