Booking and attending Friends excursions and events
Friends privately tour Lambeth Palace, the London home of the Archbishop of Canterbury, with its 13th-century vaulted crypt and Tudor gatehouse.
The Palace was restored in the 1820s by Edward Blore, who also worked on Buckingham Palace, and our tour includes the State Rooms, the Great Hall with its hammer-beam roof, and the chapel with paintings by the late Leonard Rosoman RA. By special permission from Archbishop Welby, we then take tea in the State Drawing Room, generally reserved for visiting dignitaries.
This event is also taking place on 23 September 2016.
