Join Friends of the RA for a private tour of this stunning grade II-listed chapel, in the heart of London’s historic Fitrovia.
Designed by noted Gothic revivalist John Loughborough Pearson and his son Frank, the Fitzrovia Chapel was built for the benefit of the patients and staff of the Middlesex Hospital. Completed in 1929, it closed in 2005 when the hospital was vacated and stood neglected for years, as everything else on site was demolished.
Following a £3 million restoration project, the chapel has been returned to its former glory and we are delighted to have the project’s architect and lead conservationist host our private visit.
This event will also take place at the same time on 18 September 2017.
