Archivist Penny Fussell leads a tour of the magnificent Drapers’ Hall, which has some of the most sumptuous interiors of all the ancient Livery Halls in London.
Our tour of Drapers' Hall takes in the Court Room with its two magnificent Gobelin silk woven tapestries, as well as the Court Dining Room with its stunning ceiling painting by Felix-Joseph Barrias and a portrait of Her Majesty the Queen by Sergei Pavlenko.
The main Hall serves as the highlight of the tour, with an impressive 28 marble columns, it provides the perfect space to display the Company’s extensive collection of royal portraits, including one of King William III by Sir Godfrey Kneller and one of George IV by Sir Thomas Lawrence.
