Controversial comedy, cabaret and musical talent will all be featured in the second in the series of our comedy nights in the Academicians’ Room, brought to you once again by The Establishment Club.

Join us for an evening of entertainment in the Academicians’ Room with The Establishment Club. The relaunch of The Establishment Club stems from a conversation between Lin Cook (Peter Cook’s widow) and satirist Victor Lewis-Smith, during which Lin revealed that, during the last year of his life, Peter Cook had been planning to re-open the club. With her blessing it is the company’s intention that the doors of The Establishment Club will again be open to performers who have a genuine dedication to the art of unrestricted, uncensored speech.

The evening will include performances by:

Lewis Schaffer, MC
“Schaffer is disconcertingly terrific, He is compelling, unique, and most of all unpredictable” – Evening Standard

Scott Capurro, comic, actor, author
“Uproariously outrageous gags with killer pay–off lines" – The Scotsman

Murray Lachlan Young, poet, playwright and broadcaster
“A Noel Coward for the Noel Gallagher generation” – The Times

Dickie Beau, performer and artist
“Dickie Beau is the closest this country has to a genuine medium” – This is Cabaret

Adam Bloom, comedian and writer
“Bloom is the perfect comedian” – The List

This event is open to members of the Academicians’ Room, Friends of the Royal Academy and the general public. Seating will be provided on a first come first served basis on the evening.
