Howard Jacobson joins us for the fifth instalment of 'On the Big Green Sofa', in which we invite inspiring individuals from the creative world to the Academicians' Room.
Broadcaster Peter Curran will be our guest presenter, sitting in for Mary Nightingale. Peter’s credentials include presenting Radio 4’s Loose Ends, Pick of the Week and the cult series Bunk Bed, which he co-writes with Patrick Marber.
Howard Jacobson: novelist, critic and broadcaster. Howard is the author of 15 novels and six works of non-fiction. In 2010 he won the Booker Prize for The Finkler Question.
He won the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize for Comic Writing in 2000 for The Mighty Walzer, and again in 2013 for Zoo Time. This year he published The Dog's Last Walk, a second volume of columns written for the Independent, and Pussy, a satiric novel.
