Lucian Freud: The Self-portraits
Join us for an audio described tour of the exhibition, designed for blind and partially sighted visitors. The tour is followed by refreshments and a handling session.
For the first time ever, the self-portraits of Lucian Freud are united in one extraordinary exhibition. With over 50 portraits that span seven decades, Lucian Freud: The Self-portraits offers a unique insight into his psyche and his development as a painter. These self-portraits not only trace Freud’s stylistic development but also reflect on the process of ageing, making this an unmissable chance to see a life’s work in a single show.
Visitors will have a one-hour audio described tour of this exhibition followed by a handling session. The handling session will invite visitors to explore objects relating to Freud’s process and artistic practice.
This event includes refreshments and volunteer support is provided.
