Friends of the RA book first
Join us once a month for coffee and conversation to discuss artworks from our permanent collection.
Artist and gallery educators facilitate these regular sessions for individuals living with early to mid-stages of dementia and their carers, friends and family members. Each session will allow participants to choose between a discussion session focused on an artwork from the RA Collection or an art making workshop.
The discussion session will involve looking at and discussing responses to an artwork. The session will be supported by the use of multisensory objects relating to the work.
The art making workshop will be inspired by an RA Collection artwork or RA artist with participants supported to explore different materials and ways of making.
This event includes refreshments and volunteer support is provided.
This event is part of InMind at the RA, a programme of events for individuals living with dementia and their carers or family members.
