Celebrate the winner of the Royal Academy Architecture Prize and be the first to discover the winner of the Royal Academy Dorfman award in this special evening which includes a conversation on the importance of public space.

Due to the international travel restrictions as a result of the Coronavirus, speakers, award winners and finalists for the Royal Academy Architecture Awards are unable to travel to London. Architecture Awards Week events (with the exception of Boonserm Premthada’s workshop on 18 March) have therefore been postponed until further notice. Ticket holders will be notified when the events are rescheduled. If you have purchased a ticket and would prefer to obtain a refund, please contact us on 0207 300 8090 or tickets@royalacademy.org.uk.

We open Architecture Awards Week 2020 by presenting Cristina Iglesias with the Royal Academy Architecture Prize. Then, you’ll discover the winner of the Royal Academy Dorfman Award who will be announced and presented with their award following the jury’s final deliberation.

Cristina Iglesias will then present a celebratory lecture, exploring her work and its connections to architecture followed by a half-hour conversation with the chair of this year’s jury, Norman Foster RA. Ranging from gallery spaces to city squares, their conversation will chart the important public aspect of Iglesias’s work. It will also look into her collaborations with architects; asking what she learnt from them and in turn what they learnt from her.

Following the lecture and conversation there will be 10 minutes for the audience to ask questions.
