Part of the series Cave Paintings, The Industrialist sees Gary Hume using highly polished marble in place of his customary glossy paint finish. He achieves great subtlety in his drawing, although he does so using lead tracery. The artist has likened the series to epitaphs ‘drawn by a child’.
