‘Look, No Butter’ is a health focused dining experience co-hosted by nutritionist Nick Owen with a three course menu designed to help with a January detox. Peyton & Byrne’s creative chef Emma Duggan has designed a menu full of seasonal, immune boosting and detoxing foods for you to enjoy during the evening whilst you learn some insider secrets from our experts.
Menu
Starter Roast beetroots, kohlrabi, chicory and fresh walnuts, cumin yoghurt dressing.
All the vegetables in this salad are in peak season and all are British produce. The beetroot is high in beta-carotene and folic acid and it also acts as a natural liver cleanser which is perfect for detoxing. Walnuts are full of rare and powerful antioxidants and also contain cancer fighting properties as well as helping reduce the risk of heart disease.
Main Venison and root vegetable casserole, green kale.
Venison is leaner than a skinned chicken breast, higher in iron than other meat and contains omega 3 fat. The selection of root vegetables are not only rich in vitamins (A, E, B6, C), potassium, magnesium and fibre but are warming and soothing for the winter months.
Desert Baked apples stuffed with sultanas, dried apricots and pomegranate, lemon and honey glaze.
It sounds too good to be true but this dessert is low carb and low sugar, therefore low guilt conscience too.
Drinks A selection of stylish vegetable and fruit mocktails will be served alongside fresh mint tea with ginger and other herbal infusions.
£35 per person.
