Content Description

Carrick Moore has been thinking how much they differ, and how proud Fuseli is of the immense difference: Fuseli's favourite scenes are Purgatory, Madness and Hell; although sometimes he can divert the world with the pranks of Puck and amours of Jack Falstaff. There follows a burlesque description of a "combat" over rights to gather oysters on Loch-ryan, involving "a Christian of the family of Wallace Wight" and local people, which Carrick Moore urges Fuseli to paint.
