A study for the tomb monument of Richard Walmesley in St. John's Church, Colerne, Wiltshire. The effigy shows the bearded Walmesley, with his head resting on a pillow and a cloak around his waist and legs. In 1896 Armstead exhibited 'Richard Walmesley; effigy, marble' at the Royal Academy's Annual Exhibition.
