William Blake (1757 - 1827)

RA Collection: People and Organisations

Visionary, poet, painter, print-maker (engraver and etcher). Active in London and in Felpham, Sussex (1800-03). Enrolled probably in July 1779 as a student at the Royal Academy of Arts; first exhibited at the Academy in 1780.
