Content Description

The drawing of [Muriel Richmond] has suffered [on the journey to Ernest]. Arthur's wife is quite charming, he wants to draw her and has started drawing Elsa [Herbert's wife], who he does not take to.

He discusses Blake, "one of the elect" and Bunyan. He has finished Spartan Law [at the New Bailey] and is now working on Roman Law. He is receiving electrical treatment for his bad hand. The house looks lovely, lined with his best drawings and photographs of the old masters. Margaret Wrightson has made a wonderful thing, he wants her to carve part of it in ivory, he is joyful that his tutelage is bearing fruit. Further family news.
