Content Description

Thanking Humphry for the attention he gave to Mr. Nixon's case and he is very sorry that his investment should have brought such an ungrateful return. He plans to journey to the metropolis in early May. He has heard that Humphry is privately exhibiting his Paul III in order to dispose of it. He asks how Henry Bone second attempt at a copy faired.

He asks whether Humphry is acquainted with Flaxman the sculptor, as there has been a general meeting of subscribers to erect a monument to Lieut. Genl. Simcoe in [Exeter] cathedral. They are prepared to provide £700 for the completion of the project.
