Content Description

He regrets that his last letter inadvertently distressed Samuel; he admits he is too proud to go to Plymouth if his friends only give him work out of kindness; he has decided to go to Portsmouth and arranges for new clothes; Sir Joshua's character of Mrs. Parker appeared in the Gentleman's Magazine, but Sir Joshua thinks it spoilt; he will send his most valuable drawings by waggon, not sea; Mr. Mudge, watchmaker, told Miss Reynolds he though Northcote should stay with Sir Joshua longer, she encourages him to travel.
