Lady Helena Gleichen that a campaign is on foot to get [Alfred] Gilbert to come back to the country under the protection of
the King, with a view to his completing the Duke of Clarence's tomb. The people involved have no idea of the circumstances in which Gilbert left the country, and Ponsonby foresees that several influential people may take the matter up and write to the King.
