'Manet: Portraying Life' in cinemas
The critically acclaimed exhibition 'Manet: Portraying Life' has been captured for cinema screens worldwide allowing art lovers, old and new, to enjoy, marvel and delight at the works of one of history’s greatest ever painters in a venue near them.

Cinemagoers will get a unique opportunity to see exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the Royal Academy's exhibition preparation - moments usually hidden from view - and experience a detailed, superbly crafted biography of Manet and 19th century Paris.
World-renowned art historian and broadcaster, Tim Marlow, is your host, and joined by expert guests he will examine the life and works of one of the all-time great artists. The film will combine his in-depth knowledge of Manet with sensitively shot material about the artist and period, filmed both at the Royal Academy exhibition and on location using high-tech digital cinema technology.
The film will be shown in cinemas on 11 April.
