Saturday 9 November 2019 10am - 4pm
The Turner Contemporary, Margate
Open to Young Patrons. £35 per person, includes lunch. Does not include travel to and from Margate.
Young Patrons are invited to a curator-led tour of the Turner Prize 2019, followed by a studio visit to artists Hannah Lees and Jack Lavender.
Margate has long been a destination for some of the most notable figures in art history, including Turner, Van Gogh, Pugin and more recently Tracey Emin.
Today the town remains a hub for contemporary art and this autumn, the Turner Contemporary will host the Turner Prize 2019. Learn more about the four shortlisted artists, as the exhibition’s curator takes you on a private tour of their work followed by a dance performance by Siobhan Davies.
Breaking for lunch along the coast, the afternoon will be spent visiting the studios of local artists Hannah Lees and Jack Lavender, as well as exploring the town’s cultural highlights.
The event does not include travel to and from London and Margate. Full itinerary and recommended train times will be confirmed on booking.
