Friends of the RA book first
The world’s most prestigious tennis tournament is underway. Share the excitement of Wimbledon at our live screenings for Friends in the Keeper’s House.
The Belle Shenkman Room will be screening matches throughout the Wimbledon 2017 tournament. Friends can also indulge in traditional Wimbledon classics, such as strawberries and cream and Pimm’s cocktails, available to purchase in the Sir Hugh Casson Room.
To celebrate the men's and women's Wimbledon finals over the weekend of 15-16 July, special screenings of the matches will take place in the Academicians’ Room, our private members club. Friends are invited to celebrate with us as the 2017 Wimbledon champions are crowned, with Champagne and British cuisine available to purchase.
To ensure a special experience, Friends are required to book in advance for screenings in the Academicians’ Room. Please call 020 7300 5881 to book a table.
There will be limited availability of bar seating on the day. Booking is not required for screenings in the Belle Shenkman Room. Please visit the official Wimbledon website for the event schedule.
We’re transforming the Royal Academy in time for our 250th birthday in 2018.
Alongside an expanded programme of world-class exhibitions, our building redevelopment will reveal the elements that make the RA unique - our historic Collection, the work of the artists and architects who run the RA, and the art school at the heart of our campus. The development will ensure we can continue to meet our founding principles: to present a broad range of art to the widest possible audience; to stimulate artistic debate, understanding and creation; and offer free education to the next generation of leading artists.
Please join us in making this ambitious project possible through a range of unique experiences and support opportunities from the Royal Academy.
