Intrigue: James Ensor by Luc Tuymans
This tour of ‘Intrigue: James Ensor by Luc Tuymans’ is designed specifically for wheelchair users and mobility impaired visitors.
The theatrical, the satirical and the macabre come together in arresting fashion in the art of James Ensor. Curated by fellow Belgian artist Luc Tuymans, this exhibition presents a truly original body of work, seen through the eyes of one of today’s leading painters.
Join us for this early morning tour to learn more about this innovative outsider, who rebelled against the conservative art teachings of the late 19th-century academy in Brussels by creating gloriously surreal creations that inspired and influenced the development of Expressionism.
This event includes refreshments, and volunteer support is provided.
