Develop your art-making skills in a full-day workshop led by a practicing artist and gather ideas to take back to your classroom.
This practical one-day workshop will use both traditional and contemporary life drawing techniques, including drawing through observation and experimentation.
Develop new ideas and approaches to drawing from life by working from a life model. Through discussions with the artist and peers, you will leave the session with new ideas to take back to the classroom.
The session will include:
● Mark-making, perspective and composition
● Experimentation with line, form, tone and texture
● Exploring ways of observing and depicting the human figure
● Hints and tips to take back to the classroom
Lucy Ribeiro's work explores memory, mark-making and repetition. She uses printing, painting and drawing to investigate hidden forms and repetition taken from everyday ephemera. She has exhibited in London, the UK and internationally. She works as an artist educator and creative producer for the Royal Academy, Dulwich Picture Gallery, Kew Gardens and the V&A. Her work can be found in private collections in the UK, Europe and Japan.
