Bill Viola / Michelangelo
Develop your artmaking skills and explore the work of Bill Viola and Michelangelo, while gathering ideas to take back to your classroom, in a full-day workshop led by a practicing artist.
Visit the exhibition Bill Viola / Michelangelo and discover how both artists, one a contemporary pioneer of video art and the other considered one of the greatest Renaissance artists, explored the same profound themes of birth, death and the human condition in their art.
Taking inspiration from these and other artists, you will create work on a large scale, focusing on the themes of narrative and emotion in a practical, mixed-media workshop.
This workshop is designed for primary and secondary teachers.
