Pencil and gouache on packing paper. 29.5 x 45.8 cm. The Albertina Museum, Vienna. Exhibition organised by the Royal Academy of Arts, London and the Albertina Museum, Vienna.

Visit the RA on a Friday evening to unwind, make art and network with other teachers at this creative session led by practising artist Lucy Ribeiro.

This practical workshop will guide teachers through the formal aspects of drawing from life. Open to all abilities, the session will explore a variety of techniques:

• Observation skills
• Working from a professional life model
• Mark-making, perspective and composition
• Experimenting with line, form, tone and texture
• Exploring ways of seeing and depicting the human figure

Both learners and those who want to refresh their practice are welcome.

Please note, this workshop includes a complimentary ticket to the Klimt/Schiele exhibition, however, as the exhibition closes on the 3rd of February, please email mary.ealden@royalacademy.org.uk to arrange for your ticket to be sent to you in advance of the session.
