Laura Knight RA: A Working Life
Drop in for a free 15-minute talk to unearth the hidden stories of the Royal Academy.
Join us to explore a display of work by Laura Knight RA, drawn from the RA’s Collection of paintings, drawings and sketchbooks. Knight was the first woman to be elected to full membership of the Royal Academy of Arts in 1936. The display explores three distinct themes from her long working life – the countryside, the nude and scenes from the theatre, ballet and circus.
In this series of taster talks, encounter the stories behind the RA’s remarkable Collection and buildings from the RA staff’s insider perspective. Taster talks take place at 2pm on Mondays and Thursdays.
Taster talks are free and last 15 minutes. Ask a member of the team on site for further information.
