Discover this new display in the Lee & James C. Slaughter Room. Hung with paintings dating from the 18th to the 20th centuries, the works are hung in pairs. These pairs are organised by theme, and cover subjects including Gerald Kelly PRA’s paintings of Burmese dancers, places such as Dod Procter RA’s pictures made in Jamaica, and husband and wife portraits by George Clausen RA, Carel Weight RA and John Hoppner RA.
The Slaughter Room is one of the historic rooms of Burlington House with a mural ceiling painting by William Kent executed for the 3rd Earl of Burlington in 1719-20.
