Drop in for a free 15-minute talk to unearth the hidden stories of the Royal Academy.
The RA contributed to the war effort in a number of ways during the First World War. Discover how students in the RA Schools helped to develop the new ‘Dazzle’ camouflage; find out who the Artist's Rifles were; and learn how some exhibition galleries were transformed into war offices. This talk will look at the impact of the First World War on the Academy, its buildings and the people that worked and studied here.
