Summer Exhibition 2019
Enjoy the Summer Exhibition through a new pair of eyes on a 30-minute curated tour – led by members of attRAct, the RA’s A-level art programme.
The Royal Academy of Arts attRAct programme offers London-based A-level art students the chance to engage with art and architecture through a specially designed programme of workshops, exhibition tours, studio visits, mentoring sessions in the RA schools, gallery visits, and careers and portfolio advice.
Each year, art teachers in 25 state schools in the London boroughs of Barnet, Brent, Camden, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow and City of Westminster nominate two students to participate in attRAct. This is a unique and very special opportunity to draw on the exceptional resources the RA has to offer and to create a lasting relationship with the Academy.
This event is part of a series of in gallery tours with learning programmes and partners who takeover this year’s Summer Exhibition Edits programme, which invites guests to select five works in this year’s Summer Exhibition that intrigue them the most. We invite you to accompany them as they describe why their chosen works have captured their imagination.
The event has limited capacity, headsets for the tour will be distributed on a first come first served basis.
