Summer Exhibition 2017
For this tour, join artist and attRAct alumni Sadie Stephenson to explore her selection of this year’s Summer Exhibition.
The RA’s attRAct programme offers London-based A-level art students the opportunity to use RA resources to engage young people with art and architecture through workshops, exhibition tours, gallery visits, mentoring and careers and portfolio advice. Find out more about the attRAct programme.
Sadie Stephenson was part of the RA’s attRAct programme in 2011, and is currently working in the RA’s learning department as attRAct Assistant. Alongside an interest in museum and gallery arts education, Stephenson is a recent MA Fine Art graduate from Chelsea College of Arts, attending on the Frank Bowling Scholarship Award. Her work uses the echoing and simulating of something that is known, like an art movement and its recognisable symbols and forms, as a platform to comment and reference.
This tour is part of a series of special tours with learning programmes and partners who takeover this year’s Summer Exhibition Edits programme, which invites guests to select five works in this year’s Summer Exhibition that intrigue them the most.
We invite you to accompany them as they describe why their chosen works have captured their imagination. Each tour last approximately 30 minutes.
The event has limited capacity, headsets for the tour will be distributed on a first come first served basis.
