Join us as we privately visit the former home of art collector Stanley Picker (1913–1982) to explore the paintings, sculptures and objects he gathered throughout his lifetime.
This is a rare visit to a collection that provides a fascinating account of London’s art market in the 1950s. Much was acquired through Picker’s personal relationships with gallery owners around that time. The house, built by architect Kenneth Wood in 1968, is a late-modernist creation designed specifically to showcase the collection, which includes works by Marc Chagall, Barbara Hepworth and Henry Moore.
