Students will get into the mindset of an artist in the studio at this exhibition tour and practical workshop responding to 'Picasso and Paper'.
Picasso (1881–1973) created art with everything from café tablecloths to newspaper cuttings. He created sculptures with torn and burnt pieces of paper, assembled collages, and worked with pastel, gouache and watercolour.
In small groups, students will explore and discuss this vast range of Picasso’s works on paper from across his entire career. They will then create their own responses using the immediacy of drawing and collage.
