Lucian Freud: The Self-portraits
See more than 50 paintings, prints and drawings at a private view and guided tour lead by art historian Linda Bolton, of our exhibition ‘Lucian Freud: The Self-portraits'.
Spanning nearly seven decades, Lucian Freud’s self-portraits give a fascinating insight into both his psyche and his development as a painter – from his earliest portrait, painted in 1939, to his final one executed 64 years later.
Ahead of the gallery opening to the public, learn more about key works with art historian, Linda Bolton as she walks you through the exhibition.
Please meet promptly in the Front Hall of Burlington House at 8.30am.
This event is open to RA250 Friends and RA250 Supporters and members of the Academicians’ Room only. Please call 020 7300 8090 to book your tickets.
