Taking part in a family workshop

Help us celebrate the opening of the new RA Collection galleries and take inspiration from some of the great artists who’ve exhibited here, in this workshop for children with special educational needs and their family and friends.

Our experienced educator Cash Aspeek leads these art making workshops for children with special educational needs and their family and friends. In this session, we’ll take a closer look at the newly revealed Collections displays to find out the story of the men and women who have shaped the RA’s history, then create our own artworks in response.

Be inspired by everyone from John Everett Millais RA, the youngest ever artist to study at the RA Schools and who became President of the RA in his old age; to Angelica Kauffman RA, who helped found the RA in a time when women weren’t encouraged to be professional artists.
